Marriott Debuts in Taipei to Target MICE
The global brand's first opening in the city is set to dazzle with its largest hotel ballroom in Taipei.

Officially opened in September 2015, Taipei Marriott Hotel is Marriott International's first hotel in the capital. It is also the first five-star international hotel in the Dazhi precinct, the capital's new commercial hub, and the largest integrated destination complex in Taiwan with a modern convention centre, a high-end shopping mall and luxury apartments.

Spacious with extremely high ceilings and arched doorways, the reception area reminds one of the doorways of medieval European and Romanesque architecture. For a touch of modernity, the walls and classic semi-circular arches are in a soothing neutral color palette of ivory, cream and gray.

The elegant lobby lounge intrigues with thought-provoking artwork.

The hotel has 320 well-appointed rooms and suites ranging from 430 to 860 square feet. The jewel in the crown is a 2,370-sq-ft Presidential Suite. All rooms are dressed in a neutral palette of creams and taupes, with unobstructed views of the city through floor-to-ceiling windows.  A plush chaise by the window in each room beckons guests to relax while the bath experience offers an added touch of comfort with rain shower and deluxe amenities from Thann.

The Lobby Lounge provides all-day bites and drinks with free wifi while the Garden Kitchen serves all-day Asian-inspired Western fare in semi-buffet style. INGE's bar and grill offers gourmet cuisine accompanied by stunning views from an open-air terrace lounge on the 20th floor. And for an elegant setting of traditional dining, Dining Place Chinese restaurant serves impeccable Cantonese and Sichuanese fare.

With 32,300 square feet of pillar-less space that can be transformed into 13 meeting spaces, as well as an elegant 13,600 square-foot Grand Ballroom, the hotel lays claim to having the largest convention centre in Taiwan. It also offers the latest audiovisual innovations such as BOSE RoomMatch Progressive Directivity Array loudspeakers, 300- and 360-inch projector screens, gourmet catering and expert event planning.
Close to 80 events and meetings had been held at the hotel since the hotel's soft opening on August 24, 2015. These include a Lexus launch event for 140 people, and Ad Asia's first meeting in Taiwan in 14 years that hosted 1,500 people over four days.

In line with the Marriott group's  "Green Hotel Development" initiative, Taipei Marriott Hotel blends lush green surroundings with native plants interspersed with pieces of art. This touch of nature lends a warm, organic feel to a venue that raises the bar for world-class business events.
