WORLDWIDE - A new desert destination is now open to event professionals. Networking Island is not a physical destination, but a virtual platform created by IMEX for industry peers to network, do business and keep up with industry news. Launched on 14 May, the platform is the third component on IMEX's PlanetIMEX, a virtual platform with educational content that event professionals can join for free.

IMEX Introductions, one of the features of Networking Island, is now available for planners and suppliers to register for free access to an industry network to do business.

This new offering is a virtual extension of IMEX's live in-person appointment system, which has garnered over 1,000 registrations. Networking Island 'explorers' visit the Introductions Lodge to sign up.

Event professionals can also keep up with the latest news and views of the industry at a section called Business Buzz. Meanwhile, Brella offers an informal digital event networking platform. Registration is now open for all and offers the opportunity to enjoy casual, creative or more formal business conversations on a one-to-one basis.

There will also be fun ways to socialise and celebrate on Networking Island. Incentive professionals will also be able to enjoy a virtual spin-off of SITE Nite Europe, which features a virtual stage for the new SITE's Got Talent.

Expect a fun showcase put up by the incentive industry, including performances by magicians, ventriloquists, musicians, comedians, dancers and singers, which will raise funds for the SITE Foundation.

Ms Carina Bauer, CEO of IMEX Group and president of SITE Foundation explains: "Building business connections and supporting the community are core IMEX values which are brought to life perfectly in our new Networking Island on PlanetIMEX.

"We're inviting planners and suppliers from across the globe to join those already registered for IMEX Introductions and have some really valuable business conversations. Now, more than ever, it's crucial that our industry comes together - to do business, to reconnect with friends and have fun."
