Last week, Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB) released the digital 2019 Melbourne Incentives Planners' Guide (MIPG 2019), their annual go-to planning tool for incentive programmes.

Developed in English and Simplified Chinese, the planning tool provides ideas for the best experiences Melbourne and regional Victoria have to offer, from dining and shopping to wildlife encounters and adventure activities.

The planning tool also has extensive information on businesses that offer specific services to Chinese travellers. This last point is particularly relevant, considering the fact that Melbourne has welcomed 23,000 incentive visitors from China over the last five years, which in turn delivered A$100 million (US$68.7 million) in economic contributions to the city.

"Melbourne and regional Victoria offer a multitude of exclusive experiences to suit every group and this planning tool reinforces the city as a premium incentives destination targeting the Asian incentives market by showcasing specific services suitable to Chinese groups to reward their staff with a once-in-a-lifetime experience", said Julia Swanson, acting CEO, MCB.

Aside from sample itineraries, the 2019 edition of the planning tool also includes regional spotlights in the state of Victoria, best spots for group photos, tailored outdoor experiences, as well as animal engagement opportunities.
