Saffron Cruises: latest river venue for a five-course dinner.

BANGKOK - Banyan Tree Bangkok's newest product, Saffron Cruises, has garnered enthusiastic response since its launch last November, having hosted more than 10 buyout groups within 3 months.

Positioning itself as a culinary journey on Chao Phraya River, it aims to provide a dining experience that is modern and traditional, with styling touches, award-winning cuisine and entertainment that celebrate Thailand's cultural and gastronomical traditions.

The cruise runs daily for sunset and dinner, and provides live entertainment and cultural performances. The one hour 15-minute Daily Sunset Cruise includes one standard drink at 550 baht nett (US$18) per person. Passengers board at 5 pm from Asiatique or from ICON Siam Pier 2 at 5.30 pm.

The three-hour dinner cruise includes of five-course Thai set menu and welcome cocktail for 3,200 baht (US$103) nett per person. Embarkation takes place at ICON Siam Pier 4 Embarkation at 7.00 pm.

Group private charter packages are available for 150 pax maximum, including cooking classes, engagement and wedding ceremonies, cultural/scenic tours and more.

Banyan Tree Bangkok MICE and events team said that it has received positive response from both domestic and international MICE groups for Saffron Cruises especially for private charters. Menus can be tailor-made as it has the advantage of a personal kitchen on deck.
The hotel provides international buffet catering, Western set menu and Thai set menu upon guests' requests and mirrors the Saffron menu curated by Chef Renu Homsombat, featuring authentic Thai delicacies with a unique and innovative twist.

The two-storey vessel has a 360-degree alfresco floating bar on the upper deck and an air-conditioned and secluded dining chamber on the lower deck.
