The flag-off at last year’s Star Wars Run 2017.
The second edition of the Star Wars Run Singapore, a popular themed running event, is expected to make a return on May 5 with new elements and a different event venue at the F1 Pit Building and the Marina Bay area.

The running event, held alongside the Star Wars festival on May the 4th, will bring out characters from the franchise amid a themed setting according to the iconic storyline. Last year's inaugural edition last year drew over 15,000 participants.

This year, organisers are introducing a 540m Young Jedi Dash for ages four to nine, in addition to its existing competitive 10km and non-competitive 5.4km race categories.

For the first time, runners will also be part of a flag-off where the Light and Dark side participants for the non-competitive 5.4km category will kick off their runs in opposite directions.

Participants can sign up for the run with a choice of two themed routes - to join the Rebellion on the Light side or follow in Darth Vader's footsteps on the Dark side. Both routes will feature engagement zones that will being the Star Wars experience to life with music and light projections and fun photo opportunities.

Themed activities, interactions, food and beverage offerings and an outdoor movie screening of Star Wars movies will be in store for participants at the Race Village.

Participants this year can also expect to bring home limited edition Star Wars merchandise exclusive to this year's race pack, while finishers from the 10km and 5.4km race categories will receive a commemorative medal unique to their category and finisher t-shirt.

Registration for the run is now open.
