Best Western Hotels & Resorts will be adding more than a thousand rooms to Vietnam's Ha Long Bay with a new signing for its upscale brand.

The 31-storey Best Western Premier Sapphire Ha Long will add 1,008 rooms to the world heritage site when it completes in the last quarter of 2020. It is being developed by Doji Land Real Estate Investment Company Limited.

"Best Western is excited to announce the signing of the Best Western Premier Sapphire Ha Long, as this hotel reflects our brand's commitment to bringing world-class hospitality to Asia's most attractive destinations," said Ron Pohl, senior vice president and chief operations officer for Best Western Hotels & Resorts.

Each residential-style room will have its own private balcony.
The waterfront hotel will sit in the world heritage site, recognised as a world heritage site and "one of the 'New7Wonders of Nature" said Olivier Berrivin, Best Western Hotels & Resorts' managing director of international operations - Asia.
Each of the hotel's residential-style rooms are a minimum of 35 sqm, with its own private balcony.

The hotel's amenities include swimming pool, fitness centre, business centre, executive lounge and retail outlets. An all-day dining restaurant, specialty restaurant, coffee shop, beer bar, wine bar and cigar lounge make up the food and beverage options.

Best Western Premier Sapphire Ha Long marks the latest phase of Best Western's Vietnamese expansion strategy, following the recent signings of hotels and resorts in Cam Ranh, Phu Quoc and Quang Binh.
