Planners looking at Indonesia as an event destination can look forward to a new venue in the capital city in mid-2019, when Swissôtel Hotels and Resorts makes its debut in Jakarta 2019 with the launch of Swissôtel Jakarta PIK Avenue.

The 412-room hotel will feature a 2,432sqm Grand Ballroom that can accommodate up to 3,000 guests - the largest event space in North Jakarta and fourth-largest hotel ballroom in the whole of the capital city. The pillar-less venue can be further divided into adjacent ballrooms, and guests can also look forward to an innovative banquet menu led by Executive Chef Edi Pancamala.

Other MICE facilities at the Swissôtel Jakarta PIK Avenue include nine meeting rooms surrounding a creative breakout space, which comes furnished with an art gallery, portable bar and easy access to the main restaurant, The Chinese National, on the same floor.

Situated in a mixed-used lifestyle mall complex in the Patai Indah Kapuk district - one of the most prestigious residential areas in Jakarta - the hotel combines Swiss and Indonesian hospitality with contemporary design, personalised service and charm.

"This is such an exciting time to introduce the Swissôtel brand into Indonesia and particularly Jakarta to complement the Group's growing portfolio of city and resort destinations throughout the region," said Garth Simmons, COO AccorHotels Indonesia - Malaysia - Singapore.
