The new lobby of Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur.
Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur, fondly known as the Grand Dame of hotels in Malaysia, relaunched last week after an extensive round of renovations.

As part of Marriott International's portfolio of hotels, Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur's facelift had multimillion-dollar price tag, with refreshed dining concepts thrown into the mix. However, the hotel will continue to be popular among travellers to the Malaysian capital, as it is located on the main artery of Kuala Lumpur City Centre and is connected to the rich Malaysia Heritage area of Dang Wangi.

"As our most global brand within the Marriott International portfolio, Sheraton is recognised and trusted by guests worldwide. We are ecstatic to see new energy injected into Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur because this hotel has deep roots in the local community, and we want to further build connections with travelers," said Mike Fulkerson, vice president, brand and marketing Asia Pacific, Marriott International.

Frank Beck, managing director of Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur, added, "We have been welcoming guests for the past 22 years and cannot wait to show them our new look after the completion of a multimillion-dollar facelift that encompasses a wider range of accommodation options, a new look for our meeting facilities and revamped dining concepts. We strive to create everlasting memories that make us part of our guests' lives while setting the bar for uncompromising service to offer guests an unrivaled stay and dining experience."

After the renovation, the hotel now has 398 rooms, as well as a reimagined Club Lounge on the 38th floor, which overlooks the Kuala Lumpur skyline. Dining-wise, expect new concepts like Celestial Court, a Chinese restaurant that's ideal for dignitaries looking for quality cuisine and services, as well as Villa Danieli, a standalone Italian restaurant that recreates homely Tuscany cuisine.

Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur also spots new meeting and banqueting facilities, including a Junior and Grand Ballroom, Boardroom, as well as 13 meeting rooms that have been fitted with new furnishings and AV equipment.
