Linda Pecoraro has been appointed general manager of the 302-room Hilton Kota Kinabalu. Pecoraro will support Jamie Mead, regional general manager for Malaysia to oversee the operation and lead the management team at the hotel located in Sabah's capital city, Kota Kinabalu.

"Linda's appointment adds to the growing pool of female talent into Hilton leadership positions. We are committed to empowering our women in leadership," said Mead

Pecoraro brings with her more than 20 years' experience in the industry with international hotel chains, much of this time served with Hilton and throughout various locations increasing revenue and driving innovation across the globe.

"With the influx of tourism into Sabah especially Kota Kinabalu, the state is seeing a demand for five-star luxury stays in the city. Since its opening in December 2016, Hilton Kota Kinabalu has been one of the major players in the industry that is contributing to the state's tourism profitability," added Mead.

The hotel offers event space for 1,200 guests and a carpark space for 500 vehicles.
