Wharf Hotels has announced the promotions of Thomas Saig from general manager to vice president operations and Dailp Singh from hotel manager to general manager. Both appointments are with Marco Polo Hotels - Hong Kong. 

Saig will report to the president, and will be responsible for the hotel management company's operational brand standards for rooms, restaurants, bars and events. This remit will also include establishing new revenue streams and further develop the stand-alone restaurant concept to hotel operations.

Having joined Wharf Hotels as general manager for Marco Polo Shenzhen in 2013, Saig was promoted to his position as general manager of the three Marco Polo Hotels - the Hongkong Hotel, Gateway and Prince. 

He will build upon the efforts of Philippe Caretti, with the mandate to enhance revenue streams for RB&E, and support the group's chief business managers to further improve the profitability of operations and deliver even better returns for stakeholders.

In his new position, Singh will be reporting to the group's vice president operations, and will be in charge of the three Hong Kong Hotels. 

Prior to his appointment with Wharf Hotels, Dalip was managing director of KOP Properties responsible for strategic growth and positioning of the company. Singh has more than two decades of experience, holding senior management positions with hotel groups including The Ritz Carlton and Dusit Hotels in his native Singapore, Malaysia and Dubai. 

His expertise includes hotel operations, safety and security, corporate operations and hotel pre-opening management.
